Support Southern California Wildfire Relief

The recent wildfires in Southern California have resulted in significant destruction, displacing residents and severely impacting infrastructure and communities.

For those wishing to donate or support recovery efforts, a list of organizations providing aid to wildfire victims and first responders is available available below. 

American Red Cross 

The American Red Cross is providing support to victims, accepting volunteers, and monetary donations to assist in disaster response.  

Red Cross Reunification - For those looking to reconnect with someone impacted by the wildfires, please fill out the form to be entered into the system. 

Red Cross Volunteers - Become a Volunteer - Anyone interested in joining the Red Cross as a volunteer is encouraged to submit a volunteer application.  For groups wishing to volunteer, please email VolunteerServices.LosAngeles.CA@redcross.org

Monetary Donations enable the Red Cross to prepare for, respond to, and help people recover from disasters big and small.

Other Community Resources

Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) Foundation Wildfire Emergency Relief Funding is seeking funds to equip LAFD members battling wildfires with equipment and supplies such as emergency fire shelters, hydration backpacks and wildland brush tools. 

The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank is working with government agencies, nonprofit, faith-based partners, and others to respond to the fires throughout Los Angeles County. They are accepting food donations between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at its two distribution centers: 1734 East 41st Street, Los Angeles, 90058, and 2300 Pellissier Place, Industry, 90601.

The Pasadena Community Foundation has opened the Eaton Canyon Fire Relief and Recovery Fund, providing an opportunity to support immediate and pressing needs even as the fire continues to spread.

Wildfire Recovery Fund - California Community Foundation supports communities with both intermediate recovery and long-term resilience to rebuild and restore the lives of California’s most affected and underserved populations.

Los Angeles area YMCA's Centers for Community Well-Being are serving as a community resource and emergency relief site. Several locations are accepting essential item donations for victims.

World Central Kitchen is working with restaurant and food truck partners to provide meals to feed first responders.

Westside Food Bank provides meals to those in need and is helping with bulk donations of goods during the fires.

The Salvation Army is providing critical aid, like shelter, food, and support, across southern California through their Emergency Disaster Fund. 

California City News - A local news outlet focused on city news, has compiled a list of reputable organizations which are accepting donations to assist those impacted by the wildfires.  The list is being updated as additional resources are being identified. 

Local Fundraisers and Collections

Nilly's Neighborhood Burger Shop is donating 20% of all sales through Sunday, January 12th to foundations that are aiding wildfire victims, first responders, and animals involved in the fires.  Nilly's is located at 17603 Pioneer Blvd., Artesia

Bakers and Baristas is accepting donations to support wildfire victims.  Items requested: hygiene products, first aid supplies, towels, blankets, pillows and pillowcases, stuffed animals, plush toys, books, water, snacks, and pet food.  Donation bins will be available at 11700 South Street, Artesia.

Leal Elementary School is collecting donations for the Red Cross to assist with wildfire victims.  Items requested: non-perishable food and snacks, water, blankets, hygiene products, baby supplies, and emergency supplies.  Donations can be dropped off at 12920 Droxford Street, Cerritos at the Leal Elementary School office on Monday, January 13th and Tuesday January 14th by 2:30pm.  Please ensure items are placed in a box or bag labeled "Red Cross Donation."
