The City of Artesia is proud to offer a variety of services for our Veteran population! 

Los Angeles County Military Veterans Affairs

Available at the Albert O. Little Community Center every Wednesday from 9:30am-2:00pm! To schedule an appointment with our Military Veterans Affairs representative, or for more information, please email Jessie Ortega at jortega@mva.lacounty.gov

The Military Veterans Affairs office connects County departments, non-profits, the VA and L.A. City Programs. 

Resources available include:

Veterans Benefits Assistance - Assist with verifying and applying for veterans' assistance and benefits

Healthcare – Enrollment into VA healthcare, transportation to appointments, ensuring access to prescription medications

Education – California fee waivers 

Miscellaneous – Veteran claims

Legal Services 

If you or any member of your family are a veteran of the US armed forces, you can do the following:

Or you can visit the Albert O. Little Community Center on Wednesdays from 9:30am-2:00pm, and our MVA officer can help get you enrolled and access to Veteran services. You can also email our MVA Veterans Claims Assistant, Jessie Ortega at jortega@mva.lacounty.gov


Veteran Memorial Bricks - Click here for more information

The City of Artesia is proud to offer the Veteran's Memorial Brick program to honor all Veterans of the United States Military Branches. Families can purchase a brick to be placed at the Artesia Park Veteran's Memorial as a permanent way to pay respect to loved ones that have passed away or have been killed in the line of duty. Veterans Banners - Click here for more information 

The Veteran Banner Program was created for the residents of Artesia to honor and recognize active duty and retired military personnel that reside in the City of Artesia. Banners will display the official photo of the service person, as well as their name, and will be displayed along Pioneer Boulevard during the month of November in celebration of Veteran's Day.
