The City of Artesia Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of programs especially for those 50 and over. Programs include a daily congregate or home delivery lunch program, free transportation, social groups, activities, special events, and excursions. Please check back for updates!

Lunch Program

Human Services Association (HSA) provides congregate lunches to individuals 60 and over.

Lunch is served at the Albert O. Little Community Center at Artesia Park Monday through Friday (Facility is closed for Holidays). There is a suggested donation of $3.00 per meal for seniors over 60, and $7.00 for those under 60.

Artesia Express Complimentary Cab Service

Artesia contracts with Fiesta Taxi/Dial-A-Ride to provide a free local transportation service to Artesia residents who are 60 and over or who are disabled.

Transportation is available Monday-Friday 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. The taxi service will pick up and drop off anywhere between the boundaries of Rosecrans Ave. (North), E. Carson St./Lincoln Ave. (South), Valley View St. (East), and Bellflower Boulevard (West). Any areas outside the boundaries 

Participants must register by appointment through the department office prior to using the service. Please contact 562-860-3361 for an appointment.
