The Artesia Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of programs especially for those 60 and over. Programs include a daily congregate or home delivery lunch program, free transportation, social groups, activities, special events, and excursions. The program is currently closed due to COVID-19 restrictions. Please check back for updates!
Artesia contracts with the Human Services Associaiton (HSA) to provide congregate and home delivery lunches to individuals 60 and over.
American Style lunch is served Monday through Friday at 11:30 a.m. South Asian lunches are also available on Wednesdays at 11:45 a.m. There is a suggested donation of $2.25 per meal.

Artesia contracts with Fiesta Taxi to provide a free local transportation service to Artesia residents who are 60 and over or who are disabled.
Transportation is available Monday-Sunday 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The shuttle will pick up and drop off anywhere between the boundaries of Alondra Boulevard (North), Del Amo Boulevard (South), Valley View St. (East), and Bellflower Boulevard (West). Service is also available to satellite locations on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
