A huge thank-you to everyone who joined us for the 2025 City of Artesia Halloween Spooktacular & Trunk-or-Treat! Your creativity, energy, and community spirit made this year’s event a hauntingly good time. From the amazing costumes to the festive trunks and smiling faces, you helped make the night one to remember.

Event Details

Join us on Friday, October 31st, 2025, for a night of music, candy, costume contests, food trucks, laser tag, and decorated trunk or treat vehicles!

Get ready for a spooktacular time filled with candy, food, music and more! Artesia Park will be transformed into a Halloween wonderland. Dress up in your most creative costumes and join us for a costume contest complete with prizes for youth, adults, and pets and a trunk or treat contest for Spookiest Trunk & Best Decorated Trunk!

Don't forget to bring your own bag for the trunk or treating extravaganza! 

We will be having a Costume Contest for the following 6 Divisions:

Baby/Toddlers: up to age 3

Youth: ages 4-10

Pre-Teen & Teens: ages 11-17

Adult: ages 18 & up

Family Theme: minimum 3 family members - all members must be dressed in a singular theme (example: Addam's Family, Ghostbusters, etc.)

Pet: any pet can join!


Trunk or Treat Vehicle Rules and Regulations

All residents are welcome to register their vehicle for the Trunk or Treat portion of the event!  Listed below are the rules & regulations for the event. 

REGISTRATION FOR THE 2025 TRUNK OR TREAT EVENT BEGINS OCT. 1st!

  • Registration is free for this event and are due by 5pm on Wednesday, October 29th, 2025
  • This event is sponsored by the City of Artesia, and the trunk or treat activity is intended for children. In keeping with the spirit and intent of this portion of the event, all vehicle participants must decorate their trunks with a child-friendly theme. Vehicle participants that do not have a decorated trunk, or have a decorated trunk that is not child-appropriate, may be asked to (1) decorate or redecorate their trunk, as applicable; or (2) remove their vehicles from the trunk or treat area, in the City’s sole and absolute discretion. (However, participants may stay and enjoy the rest of the event aside from the trunk or treat portion). Examples of child-friendly themes are Halloween décor such as pumpkins and ghosts, super heroes, child-friendly cartoons, etc. Themes that are not child-friendly include, without limitation, décor that is obscene or violent, sexually explicit, or political.
  • There will be a “free speech” zone in the event where individuals are allowed to communicate their views, including, without limitation, through fliers and leaflets.
  • All participants must provide their OWN candy for distribution, the City of Artesia will NOT provide candy
  • Trunk or Treat vehicles can only provide candy or Halloween toys/trinkets to participants. Flyers, promotional items, political advertisements, etc. given out from the trunk or treat area is strictly prohibited
  • Please be courteous to your trunk neighbors and keep your decorations confined to your parking space. No amplified music OTHER THAN Halloween themed music (no profanity or vulgar language) will be allowed.
  • No electricity will be provided for Trunk or treat vehicles
  • Selling of any items (other than approved Food Trucks/Vendors) is prohibited at this event
  • ALL trunks and their owners will be photographed
  • Vehicles must arrive NO LATER than 5:00pm and be decorated and ready to go by 5:45pm
  • Vehicles will not be permitted to move or leave the field until the conclusion of the event
  • Vehicle owners must provide proof of insurance, vehicle registration and driver’s license at the time of arrival. Only properly registered vehicles will be allowed to participate in this event. 
  • Entrance for the event will be from Elaine Ave.
