Title VI

TITLE VI NON-DISCRIMINATION POLICY

Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 states that, "No person in the United States shall, on the ground of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, or be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance."

The City of Artesia, under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related statutes, strives to ensure that access to, and use of, all programs, services, or benefits derived from any activity will be administered without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, or socioeconomic status.
