Law Expo is a Big Hit

Artesia held its annual Law Enforcement Expo and Youth Safety at Artesia Park on March 5. The event kicked off with a Bike Ride-A-Long starting at A.J. Padelford Park, ending at Artesia Park.

Exhibitors from the L.A. County Sheriff’s Dept., L.A. County Fire Dept. Station 30, L.A. County Health Services, L.A. County Disaster Communication Center, Mothers Against Drunk Drivers, American Medical Response (ambulance), and American Red Cross Long Beach Chapter informed residents of their services, and demonstrated their equipment.

Participants were treated to a variety of entertainment, including a puppet show presented by American Red Cross Youth Services, a Youth Safety Magic Show, a “balloon sculpturing” clown, a Jaws of Life presentation by the fire department, and 102.7 KIIS FM’s street team.

The event was a great success with an estimated 1500 community members attending the event throughout the day.
