Open House to Celebrate our new Indian Collection


The Artesia Library will host an Open House on Saturday, December 3, 2005, at 1:00 – 3:00pm to celebrate our new Indian Collection.

Due to a generous donation from the Lions Club of Artesia-Cerritos and the Lions Club of Little India, the Artesia Library was able to purchase new Indian books, DVDs and CDs in five languages: Hindi, Gujarati, Telegu, Urdu and Punjabi. Join us in celebrating our new collection with food, entertainment and lots of fun!

Everyone is invited and admission is free.

Artesia Library Book Club Meeting - Leap of Faith


Join us for our next book club meeting on Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at 11:00am where we will be discussing “Leap of Faith: Memoirs of an Unexpected Life” by Queen Noor.

Queen Noor, who was married to King Hussein of Jordan for twenty years, has written a compelling memoir of their life together in a country and a royal household that was very new to this American-born woman.

The Artesia Library holds a book club meeting on the second Tuesday of each month at 11:00am. Everyone is invited to participate. Copies of book club selections are available at the library.

Christmas Party with Santa

Santa Claus will be arriving at the Artesia Library for our Christmas Party on Saturday, December 17, 2005, at 2pm. Join us in celebrating this holiday season with stories, food and fun. Take a picture with Santa and tell him what your wishes are for Christmas.

Everyone is invited to this free and wonderful event.
