Summer Fun at the Library
Children of all ages are invited to Artesia Library’s Summer Reading
Program called “Super Heroes, Super Readers!”
Children can sign up to play the reading game. As they read a certain number
of minutes and move along the game board, they can earn small prizes any time
the library is open.
Everyone is invited to the special programs on Saturdays at 2 p.m.:
June 25: Luau Linda and the Bubble Show
July 2: Story and craft
July 9: Magic Illusions by Allen Oshiro
July 16: Story and craft
July 23: Swazzle Puppet Show
July 30: Story and craft
August 6: The Magic of Tony Daniels
August 13: Story and craft
August 20: Picnic fun

Artesia Library has a wide selection of fiction and non-fiction books in English and other languages. Also, check out the magazines, videos and DVDs, musical recordings, and books-on-tape. Computers are available with Internet access and other software.
Children from ages 3-5 and their parents are invited to Preschool Storytime
each Tuesday at 7 p.m., and children of all ages are invited to craft hour
each Saturday at
2 p.m., except on the days of special summer performances.
The library has an after-school Homework Center for children entering grades
2 through 6, as well as a link to Live Homework Help, an online service which
helps students through the first year of college.
Adults are invited to a monthly book discussion on the second Tuesday of each month at 11 a.m.
Support the library by joining the Friends of Artesia Library. Proceeds from the organization’s used book sale and DVD rentals support library programs and purchases.
