Easter Programs at Two Artesia Parks on Saturday, April 8, 2006

All are welcome to come join in the fun at two Easter Programs to be held this Saturday, April 8.
The programs include visits with the Easter Bunny, egg hunts, tug of war games, relay races, soccer games, volleyball, watermelon eating contest, a procession and free treats. Lunches will be available, but read all the details below:
Easter Program at A J Padelford Park on Saturday, April 8, 2006
10:00 a.m. Via Cursis/Way of the Cross A J Padelford Park Parent Group hosts their “Annual Via Crusis/ Way of the Cross” program. The event begins with a procession throughout the community depicting the Way of the Cross story. The Procession begins at the park parking lot and returns back to the park were event participants are treated to Free hot chocolate and sweet bread. This is a procession that starts at A J Padelford Park. 12:00- 3:00 p.m. Easter Program The Annual Easter Program will be serving Free hot dogs, chips and punch to the first 350 attending the event. The event features fun games and activities throughout the day, including an Easter Egg Hunt, Tug a War, Relay races, Soccer Games, Volleyball, and a watermelon eating contest. The Easter Bunny is in town, and will stop in and visit with the youth. 1:30 -3:00 p.m. Easter Egg Hunt for youth 12 and under. The first 100 children 11 years & under will be served hamburgers, chips and fruit punch. Adult lunches ages 12 + are $3.50 each, while supply lasts. Lunch will be served while children visit with the Easter Bunny. 1:30 p.m. Easter Egg Hunt Youngsters will have fun hunting for colorful eggs.
