An Application Must Be Submitted

  1. When an individual, partnership or corporation
    conducts or intends to conduct business in the City of Artesia

  2. When a business moves from one location to another

  3. When a business changes ownership

  4. For each location a business occupies

  5. For each type of business at a given location

When Will I Receive My License?

A license certificate will be printed and mailed to you approximately three weeks after your application is approved and we have received payment of the license fee.

Fees:

A fee schedule pertaining to your business is included in your business license packet.
The license fee for a new business is due on or before commencement of any business activity.
A renewal fee is due before or on the day the license expires.
A penalty of 15% is charged on the day after the license expires. An additional 10% penalty is charged on the first day of each month, until the delinquent license fee has been paid
