New home for Sit n' Sleep
Sit n’ Sleep will have a new home in the City of Artesia.
Eskandar Hakakian filed an application to the City of Artesia on April 28, 2006, requesting design review approval to renovate the front façade of an existing commercial building and construct a partition wall to create two tenant spaces for the property located at 11727 South Street in the City of Artesia.
Mr. Hakakian was seeking approval to renovate the front façade of the existing commercial building to give it a new face-lift that would be compatible with today modern look. The proposal was approved in June 2006.
The site was an existing single retail furniture store called Home Life Furnishings. The current business operation has 18,863 square feet of tenant space along South Street. The applicant proposes to convert the existing single retail furniture store into two separate tenant units.
One unit will house the new home of “Sit n’ Sleep,” which occupies approximately 11,000 square feet of floor area and the existing “Home Life Furnishings” will occupy the remaining 7,863 square foot of floor area.
