Restructuring the wake of financial crisis

Economic recession has caused some serious restructuring to be done throughout Artesia's departments. Downsizing city staff has caused structural changes in how the City does business.

The City is currently under a furlough program, with staff and management taking every other Friday off as unpaid leave.

Even though there are changes, the City has worked to keep as many services as possible, and from the point of view of the resident or business owner, the process is still very much the same.
