Knabe grant intiates kids' theatre

The City has received grant funds from L.A. County Supervisor Don Knabe to pursue a theatre arts program in partnership with 3-2-1 Action! Kids Musical Theatre.

The program is designed to introduce youth to performing arts while also teaching the fundamentals of the theatrical discipline. The pilot program is currently underway, with the group working hard on a production of "Alice in Wonderland."

The youth will perform four shows to a live audience at 7 p.m. on April 8, 9, 15, and 16. Tickets will be on sale at Artesia Park's office beginning in March for $4 each. All performances will be inside the Community Center.
