Artesia co-sponsors the Festival of Lights/Diwali Festival with the Little India Chamber of Commerce
Artesia and the Little India Chamber of Commerce are co-sponsoring the Festival of Lights/Diwali Mela Event on Saturday, Nov. 1, from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The festival will take the form of a street fair and will take place on Pioneer Blvd. between 188th Street and 183rd Street. That section of Pioneer Blvd. will be closed for the entire day.
The street fair will feature a main stage to be used for entertainment throughout the day and booths for selling wares and/or giving information.
Booths will include merchants selling products, food vendors, informational booths, and donation collection sites. A number of Artesia’s community groups have shown interest in participating, including the Friends of Artesia Library, the Historical Society, Artesia/Cerritos Rotary Club, the Women’s Club, DES Hall, the Lions Club, and the Friends of Artesia Foundation.
A beer garden may also be set up for guests that are 21 and over.
Be sure to participate, meet your neighbors, and enjoy this important festival for the Artesia community!
