County rounds up hazardous waste, Ewaste, in city
Los Angeles County partnered with the City of Artesia July 9, helping county residents dispose of hazardous waste and Ewaste.
L.A. County maintains that these roundups are on eof the most effecdtive ways to make sure these chemicals and products don't wind up in landfills or the water system.
Products disposed of included motor oil, paint thinner, sharp needles, computers, and cell phones.
The City helped Artesia residents get rid of bulky items. This service is actually available year-round, and residents can call Consolidated Disposal Services at (800) 299-4898, to have the trash company pick up bulky items on the next trash day.
