I would really like to see the Parks and Recreation division implement a reservation system for residents only for the tennis court at Artesia Park. I would like to set some time aside each week and play for a few hours but I can never know when I will get the court before arriving. I would further like to suggest the city develop a second tennis court adjacent to the existing on in place of the "concrete court" currently present and update that area to promote their use with signage, lighting, etc.

It would be nice to see a better parks and recreation program offered by the city. For instance, the City does not currently offer swim classes because the City does not have a pool. Moreover, the City only has 3 parks. More neighborhood or pocket parks should be considered especially in empty lots around the City. Not only will this serve to improve the City's aesthetics, but will also promote community engagement. A great place to consider establishing a park, along with a recreation center, would be the old nursery lot across from the dairy plant. I currently bought a home in the City & my family and I intend to raise our family here. It would be great to see the City invest in creating a more robust parks & recreation program, not only to beautify the City, but to also invest in the community.

It's disgusting how break-ins and robberies are going on in our area. We need to be more aware of our surroundings,
