The City of Artesia has partnered with members of the community, churches, civic groups, and businesses, to provide financial assistance and support the academic efforts of students residing in Artesia. The City developed the Scholarship Program to assist high school seniors who are pursuing a college education or seeking to develop expertise in a trade or vocation. As a result of generous monetary donations received from community sponsors, the City will award additional scholarships this year, for a total of $5,500 as follows:

To be eligible, students must meet the following criteria:
● Be a graduating high school senior planning to attend college, university, or a vocational school (in fall of 2022). ● Artesia resident ● Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 ● Active member of the community (volunteer work) ● Submit an application, which includes an essay entry.
Scholarship applications are due at 5 p.m. on Friday, May 20, 2022. Information on how to submit an application can be found on the application form.
The City of Artesia appreciates the support of this year’s sponsors which include the Artesia Chamber of Commerce, Boy Scouts of America Troop 693, Holy Family Catholic Church, and the Kakkar Family, for making these scholarships possible.
