City Council reorganizes
Every y ear, the City Council reorganizes, each member taking turn sharing the responsibilities of being mayor and mayor pro tem.
On August 11, Sally Flowers stepped down as mayor. Tony Lima was voted in by the city council to be the new mayor. Artesia's new Mayor Pro Tem is Victor Manalo.
A special video presentation for Sally Flowers was shown, and this can be seen at www.youtube.com/cityofartesia.
Refreshments were served; a live band played throughout the evening.
