Doing its small part against global warming, Artesia has begun its transition to a green fleet of city vehicles.

Pictured is a Ford Escape, and soon antoher passenger sedan will be purchased.

Also under review are the vehicles used by Parks & Recreation, and most importantly Public Works, whose vehicles see the most use every day.

These first vehicles have been purchased via money from Proposition A.

The goal of Prop A is, among other things, to create a positive impact on air quality.
