Cellular safety on the road

Most people know the dangers of using cell phones while driving.

Aside from obvious problems associated with using cell phones while driving, cell phones ought not be demonized.  You can report a car breakdown without even leaving the car, or report drunk or dangerous drivers on the road, and get directions when you're lost.

The problem is using the cell phone while in the process of driving.  Driving while using a cell phone can entail a hefty fine.  Anyone pulled over for cell phone use while driving can expect a fine starting at $20 and subsequent fines up to $50.  However, more penalties associated with the fine can increase the penalty to more than 3 times the initial fee.
