Celebrate the holidays!

Artesia prepares for the holiday season with a variety of events for all ages.

Artesia's holiday tree will be lit outside City Hall on December 4 at 5:45 p.m. Come enjoy as we celebrate the beginning of the holiday season with a recital showcasing recreation programs and classes, a visit from Santa Claus and refreshments for all to enjoy.

On December 9, the Senior Holiday Luncheon will be held at Artesia Park Community Center from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Guests can enjoy music, dancing, a raffle and good food. Residents are free, non-residents $5

A.J. Padelford Park will begin the annual Posadas program on December 15 and will continue nine days from 5 to 8 p.m. On December 18, the regularly scheduled Posadas procession will end at A.J. Padelford Park to kick off the annual holiday program. Santa Claus will be present to visit with children and give out toys to the youth of the community.

The processions will continue until December 23.
