Join Us in the Relay for Life
The Relay for Life concept involves a team of runners and walkers working
together to raise the most money and travel the greatest number of laps around
a football field track. The American Cancer Society event is a relay that
lasts for 24 hours.
Our team will consist of approximately 24 people. Each Team will have one of its members on the track at all times during the 24-hour event. Each team member will walk, run, or jog around the track for a specified amount of time (typically 30 minutes up to a 1 hour) before turning it over to the next team member. We hope you will support our efforts to make the Relay for Life an event to remember. Bring friends and family.
Relay for Life is the American Cancer Society’s Nationwide signature event. It is a unique community event that allows participation by individuals from all walks of life in the fight against cancer.
Please let Madalena (Maddy) Galindo know if you are interested in joining The City of Artesia Relay For Life Team; Maddy’s hours are 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Monday - Friday’s 8:00 a.m. -5:00 p.m. (562) 865-6262 ext. 254
