Christmas Tree Recycling Program
RECYCLE your Christmas tree by participating in the City's Curbside Recycling Program!
The Sanitation Districts will again be accepting loads of residential Christmas trees from Artesia residents and other sponsored local collection programs at no charge.
The Christmas Tree Recycling Program for Artesia residents will be effective for a three week period, December 26, 2006 through January 13, 2007.
The City of Artesia has arranged for the Christmas trees to be picked up by Consolidated Disposal Services at the curb on your regular trash pick up day. The removal of ornaments, metal stands and bars, and the bulk of tinsel is required.
The Christmas trees will be collected, grouped up and used productively around the County Sanitation Districts' landfills as mulch or compost.
