Edison's Summer Discount Plan

Southern California Edison is currently offering an energy reduction program that will provide up to $240 credit for business customers and up to $200 credit for residential customers on power bills.

The Summer Discount Plan allows for cost savings while also benefiting the environment and improving electrical supply during peak power periods. Southern California Edison’s Summer Discount Plan is designed to be an easy, but effective way to minimize peak periods of electrical use by temporarily shutting down air conditioning compressors. These temporary curtailments, if needed, are implemented by remote control and require a simple one-time installation that is provided by Southern California Edison free of charge.

Various commercial and residential options are available within the Summer Discount Plan, allowing for maximum comfort, maximum savings, or simply a good value. Credit is based upon option selection. As an additional incentive, all residential applications received prior to March 15, 2007 will receive a complimentary $20 Starbucks gift card.
