Join Artesia's as it recognizes vets on Veterans Day
You're invited to join the City of Artesia in honoring its veterans on Nov. 6. For 11 years, Artesia's been celebrating Veterans Day with a special ceremony, with each year filled with new surprises.
In 2008, the Los Alamitos Joint Forces Training Base partnered with Artesia and has since been giving guests quite a show, landing Blackhawk helicopters in Artesia Park. Last year, the LAJFTB was especially geneorous by landing two helicopters!
Artesia's Veterans Day Committee is proud to work with the LAJFTB and is hoping for a similar contribution this year.
This year's ceremony will be much more streamlined than previous events, but with the same sentimental testament to the veterans of our Armed Forces. All veterans and their families are invited.
Artesia is also trying to recognize as many veterans as it possibly can, and so any vets who have not been recognized at a previous event, please contact the City as soon as possible.
The event starts at 10 a.m. The ceremony begins at 11 a.m.
Call Andrew at (562) 865-6262 to be recognized by the City for your services. All veterans can apply, residence is not an issue.
