Using the City's Service Request System

On the homepage, under Quicklinks, the very first option is Service Requests.  Clicking there will take you to the Citizen Action Center.  In the CAC, you can Ask a Question, check the FAQ, or make a Service Request.

While asking questions, and checking the FAQ's are generally easily understood, there have been some questions about how to make a Service Request. On the Service Request page, visitors can choose which category their request is in, or make a nonspecific request if one does not know how to categorize the request.  Before one does this, he or she must register.  Registering helps the City to contact those requesting services in case there are any questions.

Otherwise, if one wishes to remain anonymous, please Email mmedina@cityofartesia.us with a description of the problem and where it is located.

After registering, select a category (like "Graffiti"), and simply answer the questions asked.  After completing form to the best of one's ability, click "Submit" and the information will be forwarded to the person who handles Graffiti.  If registered, this person can follow up and let the person requesting services know when the job is complete, or at least an estimated time that the job will be completed.

Currently, the City does not have an app to submit requests directly into the Community Action Center.  However, taking a photo, writing a short description of the problem, where it is located, etc., and MMS messaging it to mmedina@cityofartesia.us is one way that citizens can report problems or request services via mobile phone.
