Historical Society's 'Murder Mystery' Dinner Gala

This year marks are 8th annual gala fundraiser for the Artesia Historical Society to be held on Saturday, October 29th, 2011.

We are looking forward to sharing with you an exciting evening at the Albert O. Little Community Center at Artesia Park.  The evening will begin at 6:00 p.m. as guests arrive and enter the scene.  Hors d’ oeuvres will be available as you stroll through the tables of gifts available to purchase at the very popular boutique table.  Also, you won’t want to be left empty handed, so make time to purchase tickets for the always fabulous Opportunity Raffle Prizes.  Again this year we will be auctioning off a “Night at the Museum Dinner” at “Old Station #30” and a “Victorian Tea” at the “Frampton/Dantema Museum”.  Don’t miss out on sharing one of these memorable events with your family and friends.

Our Murder Mystery will be a real “Who dun it?” as some of the guests will be a part of the action and find the motives, question the suspects and catch a killer! or you might be next.  All of the action will take part during our scrumptious dinner and dessert.

For your added enjoyment come dressed as your favorite character from the past, present or future.  You never know who might show up: Marilyn Monroe, Abraham Lincoln, John Wayne, even Elvis might be in the house.  (Dressing as a character is optional.)

Funds raised at this fun and exciting event will be used to continue the development of our museums, provide for operational expenses and fund our extremely successful programs: including our Educational Outreach Program, Bus Scholarship Program and the Oral History Program.
